La Chaire Arts & Sciences was a program jointly conducted, between 2017 and 2023, by the École Polytechnique, the École des Arts Décoratifs – PSL and the Daniel et Nina Carasso Foundation.
La 1fffffffffffffffffffffff Chaire Arts & 1ffffffffffffff Sciences has made it possible to explore the relations of interdependence between living and technological environments and human and non-human environments. It established multidisciplinary cooperation, giving priority to both a perceptible and reasoned approach, via:
1ffffffff research and creation projects, combining artistic and scientific practices and citizen questioning, through new methodological tools that include installations, systems, and performances;
training through 1fffffffffffff practice, in order to engage students in collective learning through doing, via collaborative workshops, internships, and art-design-science seminars, thereby helping to decompartmentalize institutions;
events that renew 1fffffffffffffff relationships with the public, by inventing original mediation situations and interaction systems, known as 1ffffffffffffffffffffffff “publicization.” Two emblematic actions of La Chaire Arts & Sciences are being continued today: the visual and multi-support journal “.able” as well as the summer workshop “Useful Fictions”.
This website is maintained to report on all the actions carried out during these 7 years of cooperation.
