“Can robots and computer algorithms extend and enrich the artistic experience? Are machines and computer programs really able to guide and amplify artistic creation?”

On September 11 at the École Normale Supérieure – PSL, a robotics specialist, Jean-Paul Laumond (Académie des Sciences & Technologies), a mathematician, Yves Laszlo (ENS), Béatrice Joyeux-Prunel (Département Histoire et Théorie des Arts, ENS) and an artist and researcher from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Samuel Bianchini, co-head of the Chaire « arts & sciences », discuss their experiences at the interface of arts and technologies. The work “Bug Antenna” (illustration above) by Raphaëlle Kerbrat (EnsadLab) is presented on this occasion.
